Analytics

Every page you visit on this site is logged for basic analytics. Each record stores the page path, the referring page (if any), the time of the visit, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address combined with a private, site-specific value. Your raw IP address is never stored — only that hash.

The hash is stable and is kept for 24 months, the same period the rest of the analytics record is kept. Because the hash doesn't change for a given IP address, it can in principle be used to trace one visitor's path across the site over that time. That makes this data pseudonymous, not anonymous, it is not directly identifying, but it is not fully anonymous either.

Analytics logging does not use cookies, does not run any third-party tracking script, and does not send anything about your visit to a third party. Traffic identified as a bot, crawler, or automated scraping tool is filtered out and not logged.

Contact form

The contact form on this site collects your name, email address, a subject line, the message you write, and which of three inquiry types you select (support, feature request, or a new project). Every field is required, so an incomplete submission is rejected rather than partially stored.

Submitted inquiries are stored in our database and emailed to the site owner. They are kept indefinitely so past conversations can be referred back to, see Retention below. If you'd like a submission deleted, use the contact route at the bottom of this page to ask.

Cookies

This site sets a cookie only on a page that contains a form, such as the contact form. That cookie carries a single security token used to confirm a form submission actually came from this site, rather than being forged by another site — it is not used to track you and it is not set on pages without a form. Analytics, described above, uses no cookies at all.

Retention

• Analytics records are kept for 24 months, then deleted automatically by a nightly maintenance job.
• Contact form submissions are kept indefinitely. They are only ever removed by hand, on request or at the owner's discretion; there is no automatic deletion.

Third parties

No third-party origin is contacted when you load any page on this site. Fonts and icons are hosted on this domain, not fetched from a font or icon service, and no third-party JavaScript runs anywhere on the site. Nothing about your visit is shared with an advertising, analytics, or tracking company.
